Jackie Inman

Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, I moved down to Charleston shortly after graduating hair school in early 2014. My love affair with the Holy City began while working Charleston fashion week that same year and from that moment forward, I knew this is where I wanted to be. I spent the earlier part of my career focused on styling which led me to several nationwide fashion weeks, including New York. After spending time working behind the chair in Charleston, I realized my true passion was hair color. This passion and experience behind the chair also led me to become an educator for Pulp Riot which has granted me opportunities to travel and receive some of the best education the hair industry has to offer.

Though I specialize mostly in blonding, my clientele is a beautiful blend of grey coverage, rainbow hair, blondes, balayage, red heads and more. I strive to create a customized and relaxed yet exciting experience for all of my guests, in which they feel safe, heard, understood and taken care of.

Northern Roots Hair Studio
Katie Serafin

In 2006, I moved from New England to Charleston, to begin my journey into the hair industry. Throughout my career, I have fully immerse myself in learning all I can about the cosmetology industry, from business classes to emerging hair trends. I specialize in customer service, providing each guest with a genuine, personalized service while creating a customized look for each guest based on their hair goals.  My other specialties include dimensional color, precision cuts, and educating each guest on how to maintain their hair at home!
My desire to begin a career in the beauty industry started in 2003 when I worked as a front desk coordinator for a successful salon in Massachusetts. This allowed me to see the genuine appreciation each stylist had for their guests and vice versa. It was this side of the industry that motivated me to make a career change. I loved the personalize connection between stylist and guest and I strive to create that bond, all while creating bad a** hair!
